Seven students were awarded prizes in the 2023 Common Reader Essay Contest, in response to Land’s book. The winners are:
· First place: Kaleigh Barry, a University Studies student from Wilmington, Delaware
· Second place: Allyson Klabunde, a geography major from Wilmington, Delaware
· Third place: Amanda Mack, a business and economics student from Ramsey, New Jersey
· Fourth place: Levi Bielewicz, a biochemistry major from Newark, Delaware
· Honorable Mention: Oluwadamilola Babalola, a marketing major from Malvern, Pennsylvania
· Honorable Mention: Jenny Sanchez, a business and economics student from Newark, Delaware
· Honorable Mention: Nathan Brandwein, a student in the College of Earth, Ocean and Environment from Freehold, New Jersey
